Do you ever feel like you're caught in an endless loop of starting and restarting your healthy habits? Kind of like Groundhog Day, right?! You're not alone! 

It's like we're all in this constant dance of taking two steps forward and one step back (and sometimes, it’s one step forward and two steps back. Yikes!). But fear not, because I've got a few tips to share that can help you break free from that cycle and find some real, lasting consistency.

Let's start by acknowledging the elephant in the room—life happens. Especially if you're weathering the rollercoaster ride of Northeast weather like I am! 

One day it's snowing, the next it's unseasonably warm, and in between, there's a whole lot of unpredictability. And guess what? That unpredictability can seriously throw a wrench in your plans if you're not prepared.

So, here are my top tips for staying the course and keeping those healthy habits alive and kicking, come rain or shine:

1. Start with Why: Why do you want to make these changes to your lifestyle? What's driving you? Understanding your motivations can help anchor you on those days when motivation feels as elusive as a unicorn. 

2. Check Your Approach: Are you being too hard on yourself? It's easy to fall into the trap of aiming for perfection, but spoiler alert: perfection is overrated. Take a step back and honestly assess where you're at with your habits. Maybe you're trying to do too much too soon. Instead, start where you are and take it one step at a time. Progress, not perfection, is the name of the game.

3. Don't Go It Alone: We're social creatures by nature, and going solo on your wellness journey can be tough. Seek out support from friends, family, or even a like-minded community. Having someone to cheer you on, hold you accountable, or simply join you for a walk can make all the difference. Plus, it's way more fun when you've got a squad backing you up!
