Navigating the Holidays with Health and Happiness

Thanksgiving has come and gone, Hanukkah is in full swing, and Christmas is on the horizon. Hopefully you have delightful memories of family, friends… and perhaps a little over- indulgence in delicious treats.

How was your holiday?

If you're finding yourself feeling a bit blue due to health challenges, food sensitivities, or the aftermath of too much festive feasting, you're not alone, and there's a path to enjoying the holiday season without sacrificing your well-being.

The post-thanksgiving dance

We've all been there—surrounded by tempting holiday spreads, navigating someone else's kitchen, and trying to piece together a meal that aligns with your health goals. It can be a lot of work, especially when you may be trying to avoid foods and situations that exacerbate your health challenges. But guess what? You can still enjoy a classic holiday experience without compromising your health.

Which is important, because here comes the rest of the holiday season. Christmas cookies are being baked, Hanukkah is already here, and if your social circle is anything like mine, we have a lot of extra gatherings at this time of year. Which I love! And - it’s a lot of extra eating out that I don’t normally do. But fear not; you can make it through with grace.

Enjoying every bite, every celebration

Imagine relishing every bite of your favorite holiday dishes without worrying about inflammation or unstable blood sugar levels. It's possible! I love tackling these puzzles with my clients, finding ways to ensure they enjoy the festivities while prioritizing their health.

Recently, I worked with a client on preparing for long flights—how to pack food that's both TSA compliant and nutritionally balanced. It's not as challenging as it seems, and being able to fuel your body without stress, while traveling is priceless.

A helping hand for your wellness journey

Did you know that most of my clients face complex health challenges? Some are recovering from illnesses; some are managing autoimmune conditions like celiac or rheumatoid arthritis; some have multiple challenges they are managing. I've had the privilege of working with so many amazing people managing so many diverse challenges. Together, we find solutions to not only survive but thrive during the holidays and all year around.

My door is always open, and I'm thrilled to announce that I have two new client spots available in December. If you resonate with any of this, it's time to reach out. Life is too short not to enjoy your favorite foods during the holidays, and I'm here to guide you on a journey that balances enjoyment with well-being.

As always, I’m wishing you live a life you love—one that doesn't involve feeling hungry, deprived, or giving up the things that bring you joy.
