Is Your Glass Half Full or Half Empty?

It's a busy time of year with the holidays underway and the New Year looming, and there are definitely two perspectives we can view that busyness from. You may feel tired of the shopping and the baking and the holiday partying and want to just put the holiday season behind you. On the other hand, maybe you’re grateful to celebrate, eat great food, and be with those you love.

Now, I’m not sure anyone can be either type all day, every day, but there are a few reasons to strive to have a more positive outlook on life. Glass half full people actually tend to live longer!

There’s a good reason for that, too. Approaching the world in a more light-hearted manner reduces your stress, meaning less cortisol and better health. The secret to living a longer life may just be allowing yourself to enjoy it to its fullest with a positive outlook.

It isn’t always easy to find the rainbow at the end of the storm, but having an attitude of gratitude can be possible for all of us. If you aren’t blessed with a naturally positive mindset, you can still change your mindset by being intentional about how you mentally frame situations.

When you’re having one of those days where everything seems to go wrong, challenge yourself to take a step back and find those things that went right. Be intentional about finding the good news, taking deep breaths, and feeling the benefits of lower blood pressure.

We’ll be kicking off the New Year soon with our January Perfect Pairings event, so start your year off right and join us! We’ll be cooking lemon asparagus risotto with scallops or your choice of protein, enjoying great wine, and having a ton of fun, so don’t miss your chance to get your ticket!

I’ll also be offering digital coaching for just $99 per month, so you can start the year off with me to help you out along the way! This price won’t last forever, so lock yourself in as a client before prices rise.
