Finding Joy This Holiday Season

Throughout the month of December, you may be trying to center your health to avoid getting too far off track. Perhaps your plan is to hit the gym, stick to eating PFC, and get in plenty of walks. But have you considered the effect holiday joy might have on your health?

You may be wondering how joy is connected to physical health, but the answer is simple: when you’re joyful, you reduce your cortisol levels and lower your stress which immediately puts you on a clearer path to your health goals. 

We all find joy in different ways, but one thing that always brings me joy is giving to others. Today, I want to talk about one of my favorite charities and why giving brings me joy.

All year round, and especially in December, I give to the charity Caring Hands. The mission of Caring Hands is to feed those in need. This is so important to me because I believe that every person has a right to good, nutritious food. 

Caring Hands creates potato packs which are nutritious, ready to eat meals which have a healthy balance of protein, fats, and carbs. Accessible PFC meals are super important to me, so this month, I’m sourcing a little bit of my joy by helping Caring Hands carry out their mission.
