I recently spent a whirlwind few days in the Big Apple, complete with a Billy Joel concert, a food tour in Greenwich Village, and even a visit to the Broadway Museum. You might be wondering, how does this relate to a sustainable lifestyle? Well, let me tell you – it's all about balance.

During the food tour, it was a feast for the senses, and yes, I indulged. But here's the key – it's okay to treat yourself to an indulgent meal. Life is meant to be enjoyed. I savored every morsel, and embraced the experience, but didn’t overindulge. Later that evening, I had a delightful Italian dinner at Tavola. It was all about savoring the moments and making memories.

Sure, I returned a bit puffy, with some water retention and a slightly unsettled digestion. But guess what? It's okay. These things happen, and they tend to balance themselves out in a few days. Why? Because the majority of the time, I prioritize my well-being in all facets, not just food.
