It's Never Too Late to Change Your Mind This Holiday Season
December 3, 2024

The holiday season is in full swing—parties, feasts, and treats galore. It’s that time of year when many of us throw our hands up, deciding to enjoy everything and deal with the consequences come January 1st.
But what if you changed your mind?
Here’s the thing: it’s never too late to make a different choice, even if you’ve indulged more than you intended. If you woke up today thinking, “Maybe this isn’t how I want to feel,” that’s okay. You can pause, reassess, and decide how you want to move forward.
Mindfulness Over Perfection
The key to navigating the holidays without regret is mindfulness. Whether you decide to enjoy a festive cocktail, nibble on a decadent dessert, or skip the treats altogether, the most important thing is to make your choices intentionally.
Ask yourself:
Does this align with what I really want?
Am I eating or drinking to celebrate, or out of stress, boredom, or habit?
If you decide to indulge, enjoy it fully. And if you realize something isn’t serving you, love yourself enough to change course. There’s no shame in making adjustments that feel better for your body or your soul.
The Season on Your Terms
Living intentionally doesn’t mean depriving yourself or sticking to rigid rules. It means honoring what works for you. Wake up on January 1st feeling good about how you spent the season—not because you followed someone else’s plan, but because you made thoughtful choices for yourself.
For Health Pros: Business Mindfulness
The same principles apply to running your business during the holidays. If a holiday promotion doesn’t align with your goals, skip it. If January hustle isn’t your thing, focus on deepening relationships with your existing clients or planning long-term strategies.
There’s no one-size-fits-all approach, whether it’s wellness or business. Choose what’s right for you and your unique goals.
Joy Beyond the Plate
This season is about so much more than food. It’s about connection, joy, and creating memories. For me, that means pickleball matches, family movie nights, and time with my son when he’s home from college. These moments are nourishing in a different way—one that doesn’t rely on overindulgence.
So, as we move through this magical season, treat yourself with care and kindness. Make choices that leave you feeling good, body and soul.
Live the season your way—and step into the new year proud of the life you’ve created.
