Beat the End of Summer Heat

I've traveled a lot this summer, and one thing I’ve noticed no matter where I go is that the whole world seems to be having a heat wave. I still want to get out and explore, so I’ve had a lot of people ask me how I’m dealing with the summer heat to stay cool and still enjoy all the fun things summer has to offer.

In today’s blog, I’m bringing you my tips for staying cool and composed in the summer heat.

  1. Choose an indoor sweat session.

When it’s this hot outside, my daily walk outdoors sometimes becomes a little less fun. Instead, I head to the gym or get in a workout session on my Peloton which has great workouts that I can enjoy indoors. Indoor workouts may not be as scenic, but I can always squeeze in my walks in the mornings or evenings before the sun moves overhead so that I avoid the worst of the heat.

  1. Bring along a water bottle.

You won’t see me out in the summer heat without a water bottle close by! Hydration is the key to staying cool in the summer, so I’m constantly refilling my water bottle. In order to make sure I’m getting the most out of my hydrating, I add in Kyäni Electro and get plenty of electrolytes that keep me hydrated. Water is great, but in this heat, it just isn’t enough on its own. Electro keeps me hydrated, my electrolytes balanced, and able to do all the things I love.

And the best part isn’t just that it comes in two yummy flavors, but my family loves it too!

  1. Choose a lighter lunch.

On hot and humid days, I try to opt for a lighter lunch option that won’t leave me feeling bloated and heavy. I avoid thick breads that are hard for my body to digest because I know that it will stick with me all day. Recently, I had a chicken, mango, and goat cheese salad with watermelon & feta on the side, and it was so delicious that I didn’t for one second miss having a big sandwich that would have weighed me down. It was so light and refreshing, and it had a high water count, so that helped me stay hydrated, too.

If you need some help working out how you can keep your body cool during the summer, I would love to talk with you about smart supplementation! There are so many great options, and I would love to help you find a fit for your body.

In the meantime, enjoy the final days of summer heat before the cold sets in!
